May Day

May Day 2019

On Wednesday 22nd May, the school community once again enjoyed a wonderful May Day celebration. Led by their May King and Queen,  the children of Class 2 performed a series of dances around the May pole including the Spider’s Web, the Double Plait, Three-in-hand, Two-in-hand, the Chrysanthemum and the Single Plait. The children of Class 1 also performed the Barber’s Pole dance, followed by the pre-schoolers, together with their parents. Finally, the whole school came together to enjoy a couple of traditional circle dances, the Circassian Circle and the Pat-a-cake Polka. Parents and children then enjoyed refreshments provided by the school PTFA.
