Apple Picking

For the millennium celebrations, pupils from Branscombe School planted their own orchard. Last year the current pupils visited the apple trees with Great Trees of East Devon project co-ordinator Kate Tobin. As a follow up to this work Kate returned to the school this October to show the children how to press the apples to make their own juice.

In the morning Kate and the children picked some apples with the help of some of the Branscombe National Trust team. Later in the day the children worked their arm muscles to produce some very tasty apple juice!
