Cathedral Concert

On Saturday 8th March 2008 some of the Class 3 pupils were lucky enough to take part in a concert in Exeter Cathedral. The afternoon's performance was the result of an initiative to reach out to children in the County and the Diocese to give them a special and exciting singing experience. It was a joint venture involving Exeter Cathedral and its school, Devon Music Service and the Royal School of Church Music. Children from seven local schools were invited to join in.

The concert began with a welcome from Councillor John Smith - Devon County Council, Elected member with responsibility for Children's Services. The joint schools choir then sang three pieces together - 'Sailing', 'The Lord is my Shepherd' to the theme tune of Vicar of Dibley and Building.

The children enjoyed the wonderful experience and the parents thought the concert was very emotional and were grateful that their children had had such an unusual opportunity.
