Pink Day

On Thursday 19th October Branscombe Primary School held a ‘Pink Day’ to raise money for ‘Breast Cancer Campaign’. The children and staff gave a donation to the charity and could then come into school wearing pink or red! Branscombe Pre-School also held a pink day.

We had pink cowboy hats, stripy tights, feather boas and hair decorations. The children and staff had all made a super effort. Our morning assembly was based around what charities are and what the money collected is used for.

The children were also able to make donations for pink ribbons and could buy pink cakes at playtime which had been made in school. The event was supported by school governors who visited, dressed in pink, and our school Catering Assistant served the lunches wearing a pink cravat.

It was a very enjoyable day which raised money for this very worthwhile cause.
