Class 2 National Trust September 2016

National Trust - 20th September 2016

On 20th September, in their session with the National Trust, the Class 2 children thought more about Celts and Roman invaders and the shelters they might have built for themselves. The class divided into two teams. Each team was given a tarpaulin and some string and had to work out how to build a waterproof shelter. The children learned that choosing the right location was very important. They also had to work well as a team to succeed, with every team member contributing. This was later followed up in class PSHE work, thinking about working as a team and the contributions each person made as well as the different roles that were needed.
