Fossil Festival

On 30th April both classes visited the Fossil Festival at Lyme Regis. Children took part in lots of exciting activities: hunting for fossils in sand, making Jurassic layer cake, reassembling a dinosaur skeleton, painting and modelling, and story time with Sailor Jack in his biodiversity boat. We had a picnic on the beach and finished the day with a visit to the Natural History Museum's marquee, where children enjoyed hunting for fossilised sharks' teeth and panning for gold and precious stones.

A wonderful day which we were lucky to be a part of.
