Class 2 National Trust November 2016

Class 2 National Trust - 24th November 2016

In the last of this year’s National Trust sessions of outdoor learning linked to this term’s ‘Invaders and Settlers’ topic, the children practised different sorts of knots and used these to make a wooden tripod. They also had a go at weaving branches through stakes to build a wall, in the way the Anglo-Saxons might have used to build a “wattle and daub” house. Finally, the children played an Invaders and Settlers game in which they had to exchange tokens with one another, representing Romans, Saxons or Vikings.
